Egypt, Japan Friend Ship Wings (First Stage)

Following the 2011 and 2013 revolutions, there was a significant impact on incoming Japanese tourism to Egypt due to the absence of direct flights between the two countries. In response to this, our Chairman and the Japanese Department chief made a strategic decision to address this issue by introducing charter flights between Egypt and Japan. This initiative was implemented in two stages. The first stage commenced in April 2013, where four trial charter flights were operated to gauge the feedback from Japanese tourists. To our pleasant surprise, all four flights were fully booked, indicating a positive response from the tourists. Encouraged by this success and the high level of satisfaction expressed by the tourists, we proceeded with the second stage, which involved the operation of 24 charter flights between Egypt and Japan. This decision aimed to facilitate and enhance tourism between the two countries, providing a convenient and direct travel option for Japanese tourists.
